- The Bristol-Myers Squibb Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists patients who need temporary help paying for the medications listed on their website.
- CHNA.org is a state-of-the-art, free, web-based utility that can be used to assess and make measurable improvements in community health and well-being. It can be used to access to data/information in a format that is easy to understand, build common understanding of major health concerns and leverage resources and develop strategies that are mutually reinforcing and focused in specific geographic communities.
- Colorado Children's Healthcare Access Program works to ensure that children eligible for Medicaid or Children's Health Plan Plus (CHP+) has access to a quality medical home and that all pregnant women covered by Medicaid or CHP+ receive comprehensive prenatal services.
- CCHN Ventures is a non-profit loan fund whose mission is to increase access to flexible, attractive and predictable capital financing to Colorado's nonprofit, primary healthcare service providers. Click here to view their brochure.
- Colorado Covering Kids & Families is a statewide project that works to ensure all children and families eligible for Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) are enrolled. It includes valuable information for clinics including "Colorado's Maze to Enrollment in Medicaid and CHP+: Progress Made and Opportunities for Improvement" and other information on enrollment and policy updates.

- Colorado Disability Benefits Supports Program assists individuals with disabilities, including those with chronic conditions/illnesses, to acquire income, health insurance and other basic needs to stabilize their lives, health and living situations.
- Colorado Health Institute is a trusted and leading source of credible health information, data and analysis. It shares valuable information regarding the safety net in Colorado including a map of safety net providers, a report introducing the safety net presence in Colorado, an examination of speciality care, and a large database that houses information about Colorado state-wide and by county.
- Colorado Nonprofit Association leads, serves and strengthens Colorado’s nonprofit community to improve the quality of life throughout our state. They provide tools, information and educational opportunities to the Colorado nonprofit community.
- As part of completing the Colorado (Promoting Integrated Care Sustainability (PICS) project recommendations, Medicaid and Medicare coding worksheets are available to assist in billing for integrated primary and behavioral care services. Also, a Medicare SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment) document is available.
- Colorado Provider Recruitment (CPR) is a nonprofit recruitment program administered by the Colorado Rural Health Center, Colorado’s State Office of Rural Health. The program was created in 2001 to address healthcare workforce shortages in Colorado’s rural and underserved communities. CPR helps communities recruit and retain dedicated and qualified healthcare providers who are committed to practicing in rural and underserved areas. Clinical sites throughout Colorado including rural hospitals, clinics, and community health centers contract with CPR to fill healthcare staffing needs.
- The Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO) is a nonprofit designated by the State of Colorado to facilitate health information exchange (HIE).
- Community Clinic Voice (the Voice) is a free, online community for Community Health Centers and other safety net health care professionals and partners to network, share information and exchange ideas.

- Direct Relief International distributes monthly products offers to partner clinics informing them what medicines and medical supplies are available for distribution. Clinics order what they need for their low-income, uninsured patients, and then Direct Relief ships them the requested resources at no-cost.
- ENcourage Foundation® is a nonprofit patient assistance program supported by Amgen and Pfizer that provides Enbrel® (etanercept) at no cost to qualifying patients with no or limited drug coverage.
- Envision Colorado was created to provide superior quality eye exams and glasses to uninsured families, with an income of less than $42,500 per year
- First Hand Foundation helps with clinical necessities (such as medication and surgeries), medical equipment and travel related to a child’s care for children. Additionally, the Foundation implores doctors, hospitals and equipment providers to discount their services below listed prices. Funding is distributed directly to the child’s immediate healthcare provider.
- Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Patient Assistance Program provides certain Forest products to patients who are unable to afford the cost of their medication and who meet other eligibility requirements.
- Free Clinic Solutions is the nation’s first consulting firm established exclusively to serve the Free Clinic movement. They provide customized training, technical assistance, consulting, and other support services to Free Clinics, Free Clinic Associations, and their partners and suppliers.
- FTCA for Free Clinics: The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) granted medical malpractice coverage through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to volunteer Free Clinic health care professionals. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act extended this coverage to free clinic board members, officers, employees, and individual contractors.
- GroupSource is a turnkey cost management service designed for businesses and independent healthcare facilities. Their brochure is also available online.
- Health Facilities has created a blog that publishes the general information including 1) proposed regulations, 2) updates on HB 12-1294 and (soon) on HB 12-1268, 3) education/training being held on various issues, and 4) health alerts.
- Healthy Roads Media has a number of new, free materials especially around pregnancy, infancy and nutrition topics. Healthy Roads is a source for health information in many languages and formats, including handouts, audio, web-video, and iPod video. The home page lists 25 languages, and has an index by topic area.
- Institute for Healthcare Improvement offers a book called "What Works: Effective Tools and Case Studies to Improve Clinical Office Practice" that includes tools, case studies, and other resources to help clinical office practices identify and improve processes that are wasteful. It is based on experiences nationwide.
- Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists patients without adequate financial resources and prescription coverage in obtaining free products donated by the operating companies of Johnson & Johnson.
- Lilly TruAssist is the collection of Lilly patient assistance programs that offer assistance to help people obtain the Lilly medicines they need.
- The National Center for Medical Home Implementation web site is the clearinghouse for information and tools regarding the medical home approach to care in the pediatric setting.
- National Health Service Corps Site Designation and Support is a group of highly skilled health professionals dedicated to making access to health care a reality for everyone in America. Clinicians practice where they are needed in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area. Corps providers either receive scholarships for their education in return for service, or repayment of educational loans for a like commitment.
- NeedyMeds offers patient assistance programs for discounted or free medication, a database of free or low cost clinics and more valuable inofmration for patients.
- The Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. (PAF) provides assistance to patients experiencing financial hardship who have no third party insurance coverage for their Novartis medicines.
- The Partnership for Prescription Assistance helps qualifying patients without prescription drug coverage get the medicines they need through the program that is right for them.
- Pfizer Helpful Answers features a number of patient assistance programs offers different services to match the unique needs of each patient. Click the arrow next to each program name to learn more.
- The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and VCU Center on Human Needs offer a tool called the County Health Calculator that is show how education and income affect health outcomes.
- Safety Net Dental Clinic Manual is a unique tool that is available in an easy-to-use format, and includes tools and resources like clinic policies, efficiency tips, professional standards, supply lists, floor plans, design tips, photos of equipment, customizable budget worksheets, funding strategies, quality improvement plans, fact sheets, and Web sites.
- The Safety Net Foundation is a nonprofit patient assistance program that helps qualifying uninsured patients access Amgen medicines at no cost.
- Shire offers a US Patient Assistance Program that gives low-income individuals access to some of their medications.
For Patients:
- Colorado Dental Association lists contact information and shares a map for low-fee dental clinics in Colorado.
- (Coming October 2013) Colorado Health Benefit Exchange is intended to reflect the unique needs of our state, seek Colorado-specific solutions, and explore the maximum number of options available to the state of Colorado in meeting the goals of access, affordability and choice.
- Colorado Quitline is a tool that was created by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that helps individuals with quitting smoking.
- Metro Crisis Services offers a 24-hour call line to assist individuals and family members in crisis.
- PetAid Colorado provides education, scholarship, and service programs that improve animal health and welfare in Colorado. Their programs are for animals of the economically disadvantaged.
- Project Health Colorado is an project funded by The Colorado Trust with additional support from the Colorado Health Foundation. It is made up of a growing group of organizations and individuals who are interested in discussing health care issues, learning more and standing together to make health care work better for Coloradans. ClinicNET, through its participation in the Colorado HealthStory, supports this project by bringing to stories of real people navigating the health care system in Colorado.
For Providers:
- Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) is a nonprofit, transdisciplinary organization of clinicians, advocates and health care organizations united in a common mission to improve the health of America’s underserved populations and to enhance the development and support of the health care clinicians serving these populations.advocates on behalf of its members. ACU supports the health care workforce by providing opportunities for continued professional development and interaction with other health professionals committed to the underserved.
- Colorado Family Medicine Residencies offers organizational support for family medicine residency training in Colorado, shares details on different training FMR locations in Colorado, and lists new openings for interested providers.
- The Colorado Health Service Corps is an opportunity for providers to serve in communities where primary health care professionals are in high demand. The Corps offers generous student loan repayment in exchange for providers' services at clinical practice sites caring for Coloradans in greatest need.

- Alliance for Health Reform pursues its mission by explaining the myriad provisions of the law, and their policy implications, examining how various aspects of the law are being carried out, at both federal and state levels. tracking how well the law is achieving its objectives in coverage, cost and quality and more.
- The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services offers a policy guide to the affordable care act, including information on provisions and a timeline as it relates to changes in Medicaid.
- The Colorado Health Foundation offers a roundup of news coverage and other resources about ACA's impact in Colorado and elsewhere.
- Enroll America is a collaborative organization, working with partners that span the gamut of health coverage stakeholders to engage many different voices in support of an easy, accessible, and widely available enrollment process. Their website offers information on enrollment in programs connected to health reform.
- The U.S. federal government offers a website called HealthCare.gov. (also cuidadodesalud.gov) These websites provide information and education on finding one's insurance options, understanding the health care law, comparing health care providers and much more.
- HealthCareandYou.org explains what the law means for your state, and to learn when specific provisions in the law will take effect.
- The state of Colorado offers a Health Care Reform section on their website that features resources, information, FAQs, and more about health care reform and its implementation in Colorado.
- Health Reform GPS is a joint project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Hirsh Health Law and Policy Program of the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. It features issue briefs, key development guides, a health care term glossary and more.
- The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation's website features information healthcare reform and where each state stands in terms of implementing health reform.
- National Academy for State Health Policy offers a chart that tracks Medicaid Expansion across the country. It also provides in depth information on Colorado's Accountable Care Collaborative over time.
- "Questions and Answers: Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act"is a document by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that addresses questions related to various Medicaid topics, including Basic Health Plans, federal medical assistance percentages (FMAP), transitioning to modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), and children’s coverage.
- State Refor(u)m is an online network for health reform implementation. It is an initiative of the National Academy for State Health Policy, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
